Driving Safety Tips

Summer and winter accidents tend to differ. Poor driving conditions in winter months slow down drivers, and although accidents may happen more frequently, they are often less severe. Summer accidents may be less frequent, but can be more severe due to the higher travel speeds that dry roads and sunny weather encourage.

Be a defensive driver in all weather. Assure a reasonable distance at all times, and make yourself aware of areas that you frequently pass through which seem to be prone to accidents. Some crossroads are more likely to be over run by drivers than others, and hills and curves can hide cars pulling out of driveways or children on bicycles.
